I started a deal with this guy. Since he lives in The Netherlands and I live in Belgium (max 300 miles away), I expected the cards to arrive very fast. A week later, I haven't received anything, so I send him an email to ask him if he sent the cards. His answer:
i havent send them the deal is off sorryTherefore, I put him on the bad trader alert list. According to MOTL rules, if he fails to provide a good reason for cancelling the deal without notification, he risks a Rules violations-3 Karma. Just to let the moderators know, I will leave on Thursday on Holidays for one week, thus I won't be able to answer any email. I'll be back around 15 Sept.

yep it's right but i couldn't give a good reason because my server went down since it has been repaired i can reply here is my reason my poor little brother and i have had a bad fight. as a result he has thorn apart most of my good cards birds scuta and port so i cant trade them anymore i am very sorry bout that. but i got 100 dollars form my parents to buy them back so i might have them back in a while but i wont trade them with you

wayne: It all depends on whether you think he has a good reason or not. I think not, I think he just thought of this reason to avoid the karma reduction...According to me, this is a typical example of a guy who dropped a deal without notification, thus deserving a karma reduction...

I've decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, excuses like that can only be used once... AIM/ICQ/e-mail me if you have any further concerns regarding this case or trading habits.
