OK, seriously, if I read one more story about how cheap someone bought their set of Tarmogoyf's, I am going to puke. It's getting really old.

You can stifle the blessing's ability, or, while its on the stack, make them draw a card.

The deck is strong because for once its not a combo deck that is just full of tutors to pull the combo. You pretty much use your 1CC counters to protect your painter's servant until you get the combo out. __________________ 7000ish posts == Should put me in the top 25 or so in Ontario.

What does drawing a card make them do? I'm probably just not seeing it.

Either way, you'll still hit a land most likely before your deck runs out. Could you extirpate when blessing hits the graveyard before its ability goes off?

Painter's Servant would like a word with you. And Extirpate doesn't prevent the Blessing from shuffling back in, you'll have to win all over again. __________________ Now back by popular demand!

I'm not ripping anyone off. I give them the $5 bucks they want for the card. Not my fault they don't ask more for it. FYI Stu, even your own family thinks you have personal hygiene issues.

Doesnt everyone like to make money while trading ? We are the cream of the crop, checking the rumor mill, SCG and MWS in order to always know the new trend. I think its only fair that we can trade to our own advantage because we spend the time to justify it.

while I don't agree that personal attacks on people's hygien shows sophistication, I agree, we trade to get an advantage, and most ppl irl are still behind on the lastest trend, so its only fair we who have spend time studying this take advantage. :P

wtf does that even mean? I am willing to bet you offered them the $5 instead of being reasonable and offering 18-20 like a normal person. You're just an idiot and any one that considers you one of the "cream of the crop" means the cream of the worst ppl in the world crop (i decided to tone that down a bit)
It is one thing to buy it from a store that doesnt keep up, it is another to rip off players or ppl that arent as knowledgeable on purpose

This is totally out of line . You need to have a certain amount of etiquette when posting on these boards. How old are you? Use some common sense before saying offensive things. If you have some ill will toward Stu thats fine but you need to keep it off of these boards. ----------------------------------------------- I believe in trading to get an edge. Trading for a grindstone at 5 dollars 3-4 weeks ago was fine if your taking a hunch and hoping that demand will increase the value. When the card is 25-30 why would you risk a reputation? Once they found out how much it was worth they won't deal with you anymore . When they start telling everyone what happened then others won't want to deal with you. Being savvy and being a bad person are two totally different things .

Buying Grindstones for $5 from a store or a dealer would be alright since they should be the ones who are up to date on prices. Sometimes it's just being in the right place at the right time. Some people may never know if they got a bad trade but most times that's all the card was worth at the time so they are just happy to get what the value of the card was.
