Last night we had a birthday party for three friends of mine. We had a keg of Guinness, and we got trashed.Today, 5 of my friends showed up at my house with guns and booze. We shot a Kimber .45, a Taurus Judge, and my Hi Point 9mm. Then, we drank the booze. My GF and I got fresh shortly thereafter. Today has been a good day.

Heartbreaking decision. I've decided, today, to put my collection for sale. I've set up a H/W list (with some foils). I'm thinking about keeping 1 deck for "play purpose". Its a legacy Landstill deck. So even if I decide to not play, cards will likely retain value. Would you keep the deck foiled (it is almost foiled) or would you keep a non foil version of it and sell the foil? Some foils have dropped because of "reprint". Fetches for instance... Robert

Since I know you're all DYING of curiosity.. Tom and I had to buy a new (used) car, because his broke. We bought it the wed before last. We went to a dealership this time, because last time, we got it from a private seller and well.. he took us for a ride (no pun intended). We spent a little more than we wanted to, $2,400. But, we figured that it was worth it. It was a NICE car (1998 Nissan Maxima, heated leather seats, sun/moon roof..etc) Now, the guy told us that the odometer was broken, but he was *sure* that it had about 125,000, most likely less, miles on it. Other than that, he said the car was "perfect", Yeah. Perfect. This past Wed, we had to take it back to the dealer, cause the brakes were grinding, so, he fixes it, and says that "There's no way it left us like this, you must have hit a pothole or something. It broke the caliper. We put in a new caliper, new roter, and new brake pads" then, says that he'll do 50/50 for us (he pays half, we pay half)
so, we ended up paying $90. Then, this morning, the service engine light came on. Tom just about flipped his lid, he was ****ED(that's what happened right before the other car broke). so, I took the car today, instead of my van, to my parents house. My mom and I took it to a mechanic nearby and had a diagnostic done. That guy said that the timing sensor is broken, it's supposed to regulate something or other, and that, we could drive it like that, but when it goes, it'll blow the engine, and it's a 6-800 fix (the sensor, not the engine).
I also told him what the guy said about the caliper. He said that the guy is full of baloney, that there's NO way that a pothole could possible break a caliper He also said that the guy was supposed to reinspect the car when we bought it, he didn't, it has the inspection sticker from last year on it. He also looked at the odometer and said that the first number is DEFINITELY a "2", so the car has over 200k miles on it. So, we're going to try and return it, and get our money back. If he won't, we're going to go to the dealership commission, the Attorney General, and Channel 6 news (they do investigative reporting on businesses)and the BBB. But, that wasn't all for today... THEN, at about 6:20, Tom calls me. He was on his way to work and the van broke down. I had to leave my parent's house to get him, and we called AAA, turns out nothing was wrong with the van. (thankfully!!) The AAA guy thinks that something was clogging the fuel filter, and that it blocked the computer or something. When he got there, it started right up and it ran fine. We talked to him about the caliper and the car and all, he agreed that there's no way a bump or pothole could have caused the caliper to break. It also turns out, he knows of the dealership and thinks VERY little of them. He didn't seem surprised at what they did. Why can't we seem to catch a break?! Do I have "Please screw me over" tattooed on my forehead or something? We NEED two cars, and now Tom is extremely hesitant to buy another one. He thinks we're jinxed. Not to mention, if that guy doesn't give us our money back, there's no way we can afford another car. Even if he DOES give it back, it just doesn't seem possible that we're going to be able to buy a car that's going to last any decent length of time. *sigh* Thanks, Jazaray __________________ A Plastered Dragon Original Limerick: There was a nice lassie named Jaz Many wished to have what she has, A delicate face, A soft warm embrace, And a whole lot of bedroom pizzazz.WeedIan: Jazaray is like MOTL's Mom.

I'm so damn useless! I can't even fight for myself! I went and called the car dealer, to get my money back for that lemon he sold me After psyching myself up ALL DAY about what I was going to say to this guy, and repeating it over and over, he just talked RIGHT over me. I couldn't even get a word in, really. All I managed to do was to agree to take the car into him, so he could check it out himself, on Wed. Not today, or even TOMORROW, but Wed. So. Freaking. Useless.

Jaz, you need to find if you guys have a Lemon Law statute As I am unaware of other causes of actions - you potentially have fraudulent and/or negligent misrepresentations, the lemon law claims, and breach of express and implied warranties claims, at the very least, but that's based on laws from a different state, so I warrant no information, just stating that you can usually get a free consultation with an attorney and they should give you how much they will charge and what you can expect out of the case. Good luck.

We are? Crap. I guess we know what time it is. IIRC, I first learned about lemon laws in RI, so you probably have them, Jaz __________________ *MafiaBass*Joshweek*Letter Bombs!*Prices*Gatherer*Logout*No More Rickrolls! “Reason is not automatic. Yeah, there's a lemon law, although I'm not too sure it applies to us. And yeah, if this guy doesn't give us back our money, we're going to take him to court. IF I can get up the .... courage or whatever to do so. *sigh* Thanks, Jazaray

If you need to get riled up, i'm willing to eat a ban to get you turbo-furious for your own good I'm caring like that. School rocks, I sometimes forget how much I love being a student when the class is boring (like when I was taking Statistics and Advanced Algebra at the same time). Cultural Anthropology is, if nothing else, a look at an individual's ethnocentrism and why what seems normal to us may seem strange to another and vice-versa. The instructor is interesting and helpful, and interested in my experiences as a culinary graduate. In advertising class I've become the guy people try to cheat off of. That's such a riot. "Damn, he's not sitting up in front of us this week."

I feel like that's not legal; you may want to consult an attorney or someone knowledgeable. __________________ Ebay problems? File a claim, leave a neg, buy on MOTL.
