I'm disappointed with two aspects of my class: too many OFs, and I didn't grab a premier C, SS, or 3B. I'm very pleased that I got 2 of the top 4-5 pitchers in the league. But after my first couple picks I feel there has been a significant dropoff. I really need Beltre to revert back to some of his old numbers.I'm counting on SBs being an auto-win for me hopefully. Between Crawford, Morgan, and Upton I should be favored in that category. The other categories sadly I just don't know. At this point, I'm worried that my players at the end of the year will be highly ranked but that I may not have enough in the right categories to lead to many wins. But it's a long season, and so you never know! __________________ Co-Champion - 2009 MOTL Fantasy Football 2nd Place - 2003 MOTL Fantasy Football

Daner,I was just looking over the rosters, and I think you will need to make two "eligible position" changes. I think Ben Zobrist (puregoblinboy47 - F-Bombs) is only qualified at 2B and OF. I have Ben Zobrist in a keeper league, and in that league he is only qualified at 2B and OF. He only had 13 appearances last year at SS, and most Yahoo leagues require 20 appearances from the prior season to start off with eligibility at the position (or over half your appearances, if you don't have 20 at any position, for a rookie call-up). You can find Zobrist's 2009 appearances by position at: http://mlb.mlb.com/stats/individual_stats_player.jsp?c_id=tb&playerID=450314 Also, Michael Young (terryJ15 - Terry's Princess Pumpkins) only played 3rd Base last year.

I believe it's 10 games in Yahoo leagues. But still, this changes my team a lot if I'm wrong.

I think it's 10 also. I know it's 20 on ESPN, and I remember going, darn that's more than Yahoo!.

I sent an e-mail to the commissioner in my other league, to see if he manually entered twenty (20) 2009 appearances as the threshold or if that was the default. He's on vacation, so I might not hear back until the end of the weekend. But he sent out a list of possible keepers with their eligible positions, and all players (not just Zobrist) needed 20. If the threshold is 10 appearances in 2009, then that impacts a number of other players as well.

Update: I went through the Yahoo message boards for the last three years. The few responses to "player eligibility" I found were: 1. During the season, a hitter can gain eligibility by making 5 starts or 10 appearances at a new position. 2. A player keeps eligibility from the prior year if he made 15 appearances at a position. The most recent post for this can be found at: http://messages.fantasysports.yahoo.com/Fantasy_Sports/Baseball/threadview?m=tm&bn=fan-baseball_general&tid=111679&mid=111702&tof=-1&rt=2&frt=2&off=1 I'm not saying this is the final word, only saying that this is what other players have stated for the last two years. I guess it was a big deal last year when Miguel Cabrera only had fourteen 2008 appearances at 3rd base, and was ineligible at the position (this should be easy to verify). I

wagner's been on my list the whole time, and I'll be damned if I have 2 angels on my team. But the last round and a half is about where I expected the closer run to go, so that's good to know for real drafts

l.o.lI woulda picked him up late if he was still around. I think Nats are gonna protect him a ton this year, so I don't think he plays enough. ALSO, I am looking to trade Nick Markakis for a quality SP if anyone is interested.

I wanted him at all costs...and he was not gonna be around when it was time for my next pick.Since this league is for fun and not money, I have no problem taking chances like this

On the Big Board, He's listed as eligible for SS. http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/mlb/news;_ylt=AtXDa7uWoUyphu4koSHof_a5bZ8u?slug=bf-bigboard-baseball *whew*

It says it on the initial list. But when you click the link to his information page, his profile has him listed as 2nd base/ Outfield only. Again, I don't know what his status will finally be, I just know that in my carryover league I cannot use him at Shortstop.

Edit:Ryan is helping out with the Haiti recovery, but is not in Haiti. Apparently "the man" doesn't want exact locations, so i'm editing down to this. Best of luck ryan! Stay safe!
