Lol. Should be fine. The first three rounds basically pick themselves, anyways.

I think I might even get my pick in the first round without trading up! That'll be fun.

This will be a first. In the past we have started after New Years. At least that way you get over the baseball meetings, the first round of trades and signings. I guess I'll be bringing my computer on vacation.

This draft is dragging ass.

Not from my perspective! If it drags another 7 hours then I'll get the 2nd pick instead of the 3rd. Of course, at this early time, the difference is nearly meaningless.

Isn't this REALLY freaking early to be making Baseball picks? We don't even know where people are going to be playing.

That's what I said. Last year we started January 3rd and still finished before March.

I mean, I'll go along with concensus, but this took me by surprise cause I was not expecting it this early. In the last 2 days, there have been major pitching moves. That clearly affects the value of those players.

Baseball moved pretty smoothly, but the other two Fantasy games did not. It's very possible that this can as much as 3 and a half months and we'll wrap up right before april. And here's my predictions for the Pitching Blockbusters Halladay= Still Awesome Lee= Still Awesome Lackey= Still a really good #2

If Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee or John Lackey somehow made their way onto the Pirates, Royals, or Nationals I'd still have them high on my SP list. That's why I don't see the point on waiting to see where someone lands. Jason Bay and Matt Holliday are another, I still have faith in both of them to put up great #'s and be solid OF's. Why do I have to wait and see where they land? If they are both FA's then I'd expect somewhere with the $$ which means they have someone to protect them in the lineup too. EDIT:Also...you get 24 hours to make your pick. So you can use it wisely to your advantage. Nobody is holding a gun to your head after 3 min to draft. Look it's been going on 5 days almost and we haven't finished round 1.

If Bay moves to an NL pitcher's park, it would absolutely make him less of a pick.

Really? From what I remember he was pretty good with the Pirates except of course when he was hurt.

If he does I'll be crying! I have him as a cheap carryover in another league which is AL only!

+1. Bay was exceptional in his years with the Pirates except for the one year he struggled with injuries. A good hitter can hit anywere, period. So what if he goes to the Mets, he still has the same lineup protection if not more. That's what you worry about, like Holliday for the first part of least year, but these guys aren't getting traded, they are going to the highest bidder. Like I said previously, the highest bidders have the lineups to protect these guys so their numbers will stay consistant.
