Canada ana Russia are obviously the safest picks, but I'm going to go with Finland once again pulling the upset.

Im cheering for Canada obviously but the Russians and USA scare me.If Miller gets hot i can see US going all the way.Goaltending is key in a short tourney and Miller is the best, though the last few games hes been average.__________________ In the heart of every squirrel lives a lion.

Whatever happened to the Czech's? Didn't they used to be among the powers? Haven't payed attention to international hockey in a while, so I'm not on the up and up. I'm rooting for the good ol' US of A, but Russia will probably win. __________________ "He knew suddenly that he was not going to escape. I'm probably sure that it will be one exciting tournament! I'll root for Canada, but I don't know the teams good enough to know who will win

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=313389A nice gesture by the twins.1.5 million yet some people still belittle the gesture by claiming its a tax write off. Dont they realize with 6 mil a yr each they could hire a really good accountant to find a few tax shelters instead.Perhaps they should hire a really good PR agant instead J/K. Classy move no matter how much gets written off on taxes. __________________ In the heart of every squirrel lives a lion.

Like to point out that the Southeast Division has 4 of the 8 lottery pick teams in the league. Would also like to point out that Washington is probably going to run away with the President's Trophy...who also happens to play n the Southeast. Last, I'd like to point out they might play Philadelphia in the 1st round. Good luck! Don't CHOKE! EDIT: Same goes to San Jose and your potential 1st round matchup against the Detroit Redwings.....GOOD LUCK!

Man. I wonder what Plekanec would be able to do if he had an elite goal scorer. The guy is develpoing in to such a playmaker that he's making any shmuck on his line really good. I wouldn't be surprised if he had 60+ assists if he had a 40 goal scorer on him line.In case you can't tell. I'e got a homer man crush a brewin'. I honestly beleive he's one of the most unsung players in the league, though.

Wait for Cammalleri to come back. I think Plekanec is definately a good center (although I still have my doubts about him in the playoffs). He is truly a two way player. Can kill PP, good in defensive zone. A little bit small though. Didn't Pleky get all his point when Cammalleri was with him? 26 goals and injured. He's still our best! He was going for a 35-40 goals season, too bad. That was a great move from Bob.Habs have been doing really good recently. Too bad Bob isn't here to collect what he deserves! 3rd and 4th line are stabilized. 1st (Gomez-Gionta-Pouliot) is working perfectly 2nd line is slow. Andrei Kost doesn't want to wake up. Pyatt gives a honest effort, not enough. Plekanec can't do all by himself. I still don't know if he wants to stay My elite player underperforming is a big minus for me in the pool

That's the thing! I don't even consider Cammi an elite scorer. He's a really good scorer, but only under a center as good as Plecky's been for us.Also, He's been a point per game type of player even without Cammi on his line. He's good day in and day out. As for Andrei, He's just been at his best when he has another scoring winger on the other side. Wasn't he playing with Plecky and Gionta during that stretch this year when he got hot? He's great when traffic is diverted from him, but he's just not a playmaker. He's a pure sniper/forechecker.

I think Cammalleri is a decent sniper. He was going for 40 or close this season. Its not a 50 goals, but still pretty good, especially in Montreal. I don't remember seeing a great scorer in a while. As for Andrei, I can see his potential. But he doesn'T seem to be able to exploit it. But I agree, he isn't a playmaker, unlike his brother Sergei who is doing a great job with his pass. Scored like 4 goals in the last few games

On the bright side for both of you and Montreal in general.....your getting healthy and Camalleri will be back soon. If he can get back rather qickly 40 goals might still not be out of the question although it would be hard. I think he has like 26 right now? 35 would be nice given the amount of time he missed. One of the few things Montreal has done right over the past decade in siging him.

We can't ignore Gomez/Gionta/Pouliot. We get a good first line, for once. Having Kovalev on our first line was a joke, considering how little he could offer

Once Plekanac signs himself a nice fat juicy contract he'll be back to getting 50-60 points a season.__________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 9500+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 19th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

Very questionable calls against the Flyers. There are normal mistakes that the refs make because they are human, but you can't miss a very dangerous hit and a probable goal.
