Happy 100th birthday to Montreal!!! And with a splendid victory over Bruins. Good job for that hat trick, helps me against Kenzo! Now, if only my guys could score in PP, that would help me! Robert

I have not watched one Flyers game this season, In fact not one Hockey game at all, I just don't have the interest in it for some reason.I'll probably watch the Flyers/Bruins game though New Years day.

I feel like playing against myself. My opponent doesn't even bother to set up his lineup...

So I figured I would be able to have someone take care of my players for last week, but obviously not. Ian got the best of that round, but I'll be back.__________________ "call the hospital now" "I'm gonna kill you" inspiring words from Mino Fazio

His records will probably outlast hockey itself.

The Penguins landed in a snow storm in Buffalo, and their bus got stuck. Coach Dan Bylsma got out and pushed it, shortly after they were on their ways.Coach "Disco" Dan Bylsma......man? myth? legend.

My Blackhawks continue to dominate as usual. Man that game vs New Jersey last week was unfathomable and a surprise scoring three plus goals versus a sure hall of famer in brodeur

Oddly enough...they can't score right now. Don't be suprised to see a defenseman get moved before the trade deadline and them add a winger. I'd bet Gonchar or Letang plus some picks get moved in order to get a top scoring winger to play along side Crosby or Malkin.

I think you're right Dane, but do you really want to let either of them (gonch/letang)?Both need signed that I understand, but who would you honestly expect to receive for either of them? curious, Jesse __________________ "call the hospital now" "I'm gonna kill you" inspiring words from Mino Fazio

Package deal. People will lineup for Letang, and has more value. So I would say trade him. Gonchar is probably in his final year as a Penguin, unless he takes a severly reduced salary. His age and FA status at the end of the year will probably get teams to shy away, and I'd rather just keep him for one more run anyhow. You need a veteran like him to run the PP and pose as a scoring threat from the blueline. That said, you take Letang, possibly Caputi/Tangradi, and throw in your 1st round pick. You get some one like Kovalchuk who is probably fleeing Atlanta after this year and make another run at the Cup. If you get another Hossa rent-a-player deal out of it? Fine. What have the players Atlanta got from the Penguins done? Nothing. Hossa DID help us get to game 6 of the Stanley Cup, and yes he DID help. I'm fine with letting both Gonchar and Letang go, we would still have Orpik, Goligoski, and Despres(last year's 1st round pick)...plus Lovejoy, and Englund. Throw in Eaton/Skoula/McKee and the D is just as good. Not to mention you can always get someone that costs less than what Gonchar or Letang might make to fill gaps. I'd be more concerned with lack of wingers than lack of scoring D. I've heard a few names tho tossed around. Obv Kovalchuk is the big one....but guys like Steve Sullivan, and Kris Versteeg would be nice...and you would have to give up less. Possibly just draft picks, which would leave the door open to keep either Gonchar/Letang.

I checked malkin's stats and hes off right now... That could explain why they are losing lately

Maybe he grew half a brain and realized that the season series is still 3-1 in Pittsburgh's favor. Or that the last time you even split a season series with the Penguins they throttled you 4-1 in the East Finals.

I went to the Leafs Buffalo game last friday! It was wicked. Great NHL action, also that fact that the Arena is almost 50-50 Leafs and Sabres fans makes it spectacular! __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 9500+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 19th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)
