If anyone's got a reliable source for a motherboard for a Dell Dimension 5100, I'm all ears.

Guys, I've been having issues recently.

When I boot in safe mode my computer is fine; however, when I boot in normal mode, after a few things load, I get a blue screen telling me that the computer had to do a memory dump and that if the problem persists to see the network admin. The error code it gives is as such:

STOP: 0x0000008E (0x0000005, 0xAE6FDB5F, 0xABC6D808, 0x00000000)

Any idea how to fix it? Safe mode doesn't allow me to use my net, so I would have to bring anything I download to the computer from the school's internet via my USB drive.

Anyone own a EVGA mobo? My 780i MCP runs at about 46C in BIOS and 55C after a solid TF2 gaming session. Is this too hot?

My machine keeps shutting off at random times, and then when I start it back up, it says I've been overheating. I'm thinking this is because I'm a lazy bastard and there's too much dust in it, but is there anything else I should watch out for when I take er apart later tonight?

MICROSOFT WORD QUESTION :

Weird question, but i am using "note de bas de page" i dont know how to translate this. Its like when you are quoting texts, you have to put a reference on the bottom of them page.

My question is : Is there a way of removing all of those reference at the same time? Yes, i can manually delete each one of them. But my text is hundreds of page long, and i feel lazy

"Footnotes." There's a function to turn off footnotes, IIRC. Look for it under Settings.

You're using footnotes. Are you wanting to just delete them entirely, or would converting them to endnotes be useful?

Assuming that they are not custom footnote reference marks (not sure exactly what that means since I don't use them) you can do the following to delete them:

To delete all automatically numbered footnotes or endnotes, click Replace on the Edit menu. On the Replace tab, click More, click Special, and then click Endnote Mark or Footnote Mark. Make sure the Replace with box is empty, and then click Replace All.

I recommend downloading codecs. DivX and Xvid for starters, ffdshow if it still doesn't work.

How about this.

sometimes, i copy paste documents on the internet, but when pasted on Microsoft words, they are all ugly placed. I can use the arrange automatically based on the rest of the text, but it doesnt adjust the texte....

let me show an example.

The sky is
red and the
water is yellow

Now, can we copy paste and have it automatically? :
the sky is red and the water is yellow

I hope i made myself clear Because i have no idea how to explain it

Since my old mouse died I havn't been able to adjust the pointer speed under pointer options, and the advanced box doesn't work either. I've ignored this up'til now, but I'm getting tied of the arrow speeding from one side of
the screen to the other. Will reinstalling Intellipoint over the existing program solve this or should I uninstall first?

I use microsft word.

To try to be a little bit clearer, even when using the command, arrange text to conform it to the rest of the text, it still doesnt fix it

Anyone know if 55C is too hot for chips? I've never really had a chip run this warm before.

I would uninstall any old drivers and/or programs for the old mouse, then install.

65C is automatic shutdown, so you are just 10 below, yes that is rather hot. You want to be between 35-45 or lower.

I'm still working on that heat issue. New question: my Linksys 54G router just crashed and forgot all of its settings. It was working 1 second, and then it asploded. Had to log in and change all the settings again. Anyone know why? And before anyone asks, it's WPA2 protected.

Happens to mine once in a while. just redo it.

In other news, I want to buy this MoBo.

http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=31978&vpn=P45T-A&manufacture=ECS%2FELITEGROUP

My setup will be:

Q6600, 4GB DDR2, 2x 320 HDDs on a PCIe with 2SATA ports.

and in the future, 2x 1TB HDDs as a RAID1, 2x 2TB as a RAID1, and 2x 4TB, and then 2x 8TB to substitute the 1TB RAID1, and so on and so forth.

Would it be a good MoBo?

I'm buying a new gaming PC and plan on converting my current machine to use with a TV as a media center and console emulator. I have most of the software already purchased/downloaded, but am having trouble locating a decent AGP or old-style PCI video card with composite TV out connections. Anyone have any recommendations or a source for me?
