Check these links and see if the information looks familiar. Sounds like you could be hosed if you're out of warranty. http://forums.techguy.org/networking/633544-having-problem-hp-pavilion-wireless.html

Here's a really strange one. The clock on my computer (bottom right hand corner) is continually 10 minutes fast. I reset it any time i notice, and it is set to automatically synchronize the time once/day. 3 hours later, its 10 minutes fast again. This has only been happening in the last week, and it's never been more than 10 minutes fast.Any suggestions?

Is it specifically always 10 minutes fast, or does the amount of time that it's out of sync change noticably? If it's consistently 10 minutes off, sounds like it's getting the info from a time server that is 10 minutes fast. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. To clarify, it is counting seconds too fast. I can tell when i just watch it tic seconds that it's too fast. I synch it with an online server to the correct time (matches that of all the other clocks in the house). After about 1 hour, it is 8-10 minutes fast. I followed the link thanos posted, and went thru the steps one of the users posted to no avail. It sounds like my motherboard has a bad clock (yea, go Dell), and that there isnt much to be done about it, because I am not about to rebuild a 6 yr old machine. Maybe just get a new one for christmas.

If it's always ten minutes fast, though, this doesn't make sense. What kind of mobo error would cause it to speed up until it was exactly 10 minutes fast and then stop? Did you try reinstalling the OS? A pain, I know, but worth a try before you buy a new system.

Sounds like you're right. Maybe try swapping your mobo battery if you have another one laying around. I know this usually only works when the time is slow but you never know, weirder things have happened in the computer world.

I didn't have much success with the links given. I was thinking about getting a wireless USB adapter. Good idea? Are all brands and adapter the same? Or are some better than others? Robert

So on tuesday I was browsing when my computer blue-screened and restarted. Now my computer continually re-starts during start-up (always blue-screening). I've tried spin-rite and other things but my HD seems ok. So I'm like 95% sure it's a virus of some sort. Anyone dealt with this before or know how to deal with it? __________________ Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore"

Actually, JesusChristMD, it sounds like a bad driver.Boot in safe mode and revert to the previous restore point? __________________ Everyone you meet is going through something * BoltBait is the official holder of the MOTL Logout Button [Trades] [Rules] [FAQ] [Prices] [Card Searches] [Tools] [WotC] [Dominoes] [Art] [#MOTL Chat] [Logout]

For the first time, I'm considering installing Window program in my Macbook so that I can play MTGO on my Macbook. The question is, I'm just wondering how good the performance will Window 7 will work on my Macbook. What about MTGO itself in the Window via Macbook? I Google and look everywhere! Any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks Bentiko

If all you want to do is play MTGO, I'd recommend Windows XP. All Windows 7 will do is eat up more processing power for features you don't need.

The RC has been around for months - it's a great OS. Definitely superior to Vista, anyway.

Thats really weird... cause according to all those commercials on TV mac are so far superior to PC's ( just like a rock is superior to gun lol ) anywho there is a program that can run on a mac that will simulate a window's OS, and I think it only works with XP. Mac I believe (educated guess) do not have the hardware in them to run Vista or Win 7, I have a giant paper weight I call the imac G4 sitting on a book shelf next to me and the thing's hardware specs don't meet the requirements to even run XP.... also can you plz tell me why Norton makes their antivirus program compatible with Mac's.... I only ask seeing how macs can't get viruses.

If I install 4 gigs but my system maxes at 3, will there be any detrimental effect? (mid 2007 MacBook) I want to do so cuz - matched ram is apparently good - 2x2gig is cheaper than one 1gig and one 2gig

Do you have any idea what you're talking about?
