At the moment I am approx. 400+ miles from my house as I am in a hotel for the supreme purpose of seeing my family for thanks giving. And so it begins...I bought the encyclopedia last Christmas and since then I have used it often. I would make variable dream decks with cards that aren't insanely hard to get. (i.e., Guardian Beast, mill, grind, and wet stones, and so on and so forth) I would make imaginary decks hoping that maybe I might one day obtain these cards. I am aware that the stones are not particularly difficult to get, but no one will trade them to me. I'm sure this must sound like the winnings of a casual player that can't quite get 4 of everything, but its not just me with such problems. I have a have/want list like everyone else, don't I? And yet I haven't procured one trade since its creation, hence I have one ref. Do I have crapy cards? Maybe. Maybe not ... but probably. You see Magic is becoming less and less interesting to me, as I have seen every single magic card in existence. (so there really no surprises left for me) I have made a few impossible combos that I would never in my wildest dreams pull off. (i.e. It would be possible for me to play every single card in magic, not including lands, ever made, turn one) The gleam, the obsession rather, of Magic has left me. ...Planeshift better the hell be awesome. __________________ (I am spelling Impared) shut up because Im a genyuss. quote: His h/w rules:I get to use the god rule you must have over 20 refs and of course i will send first. If you live oversees i'll still send first and you still must have over 20 refs. If you don't have one of my wants and i have something you want e-mail me I might trade it.
For one thing, if I had 10 refs, and you had 1, I'm NOT going to simul send with you...so you definitely might wanna lax the rules up some. Also, many of your wants are cryptic, none are the more popular cards that are out, that's one reason many people dont have them...
You had 6 people offer you stuff, you couldn't work out a deal between any of them? Anyway, on a side note, that is the most ups in a row that i have EVER SEEN. :P About the rest of your article, I see where you are coming from. And don't worry, from what I have seen, Planeshift will kick booty. __________________ Stinky cheese is still cheese. Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. making trades is not about just sticking up a list and letting people come to it, you have to seek out people who want the cards that you have, use the search feature in the have/want forum (and the trade auction forum should implement this feature as well). you have to be active about trading, trying to work out deals with whoever offers them to you (unless they are on crack and offer swamps for p9) don't get discouraged, we all started with few refs and had to build up from there (i consider myself an average trader with 12 refs, but some people here have like 300) most of the time i still have to send first, but i don't mind cause i know that eventually i won't be sending first if i get enough refs.
