Hi My Name's Paranoid and I'm an alcoholic...Ooops wrong forum....
Anyways i'm here to talk to you about Mindless Oath. While this deck might look like a complete pile it plays like well a complete pile. Killing its opponents 3rd - 6th turn consistantly or controlling the game till you combo. Has to be a bad deck right? This deck is all about answers that just seem to come out of knowhere. This deck was originally introduced during Saga Block (UBC) and seemed to die out for a while. One day I decided to make up this deck (after reading an article at New Wave) and I liked the options (after being completely stupified by the horrible decklist). It took me a few minutes to finally figure out that
Phyrexian Ghoul - 2 Colorless 1 Black
Summon Zombie
Sacrifice a creature: Phyrexian Ghoul gets +2/+2 until end of turn.
and
Academy Rector - 3 Colorless 1 White
Summon Cleric
When Academy Rector is put into a graveyard from play, you may remove Academy Rector from the game. If you do so then search your library for an enchantment card and put that card into play. Then shuffle your library.
and
Pattern of Rebirth - 3 Colorless 1 Green
Enchant Creature
When enchanted creature is put into a graveyard from play, that creature's controller may search his or her library for a creature card and put that card into play. If that player does, he or she then shuffles his or her library.
was a hard core combo. Basically this 3 Card Engine lets you get any answer in the form of a Creature or Enchantment to level the playing field and give you complete and utter board control.

Once you get the hang of the deck it plays like a dream. You have only 1 Autoloss and that's Ponza. That deck really messes you up. If you've got it in your Metagame then i suggest RIVALRY straight up. Why not chill? You ask. Because Rivalry will cause damage to them. They get around chill by laying 2 of their 28 lands in their deck. With rivalry you make them have to think whether or not they want to kill your land because if they do... They'll pay. Red also has NO answers to Rivalry. Finally 1 Chill on the board is pretty uneffective against Ponza. Your better off with trade routes in that situation.
Well that's it for now. Until next time....
